Sr. Manager, Business Systems - Salesforce

To support our continued growth and scale we’re looking for an experienced, thoughtful and business focused technology manager to lead a team of business systems analysts, developers and administrators focused on building out our internal capabilities. The role requires deep product knowledge of the platform; understanding of Sales and Support business processes; and familiarity integrating Salesforce with other 3rd party tools. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand the needs and deliver the most pragmatic solution; participates in various design discussions, builds solution design deliverables and develops technologies and ensures successful delivery of business capabilities.


  • Lead a team of Business Systems Analysts, Administrators and Developers who design, support, maintain, administer and enhance the salesforce platform to support the sales and support organization
  • Build and implement the architectural strategy and solution design of our Salesforce platform
  • Act as a subject matter expert in driving the best practices for the salesforce ecosystem and integrated tools
  • Be a trusted advisor in both technical and functional areas of Salesforce
  • Review and understand current business gaps and provide recommendations and feedback around third-party apps or additional Salesforce functionality to fill those gaps
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of Salesforce configuration, custom objects, schema, and workflows and their connections to our enterprise business platforms
  • Maintaining accountability for solution designs all the way to implementation by performing code reviews, coaching admins/development team, and documenting and evolving coding standards and best practices
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment and support
  • Communicating solution designs clearly in multiple formats (diagrams, documents, verbally)
  • Ensure configurations align with all internal and external audit requirements, data privacy laws, and security requirements.
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • Ensure that proper change management and SDLC controls are followed in handling the applications and deployment of changes
  • Create and ensure standards are followed to safeguard the integrity of the Salesforce instance and data flowing across system integrations


  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience with Salesforce system ownership and implementation
  • At least 5+ years in a people and/or technical leadership role
  • Experience with multiple full-lifecycle Salesforce CRM implementations, including managing technical project teams
  • Salesforce Certification(s) / Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is a plus
  • Experience across Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud; CPQ experience preferred
  • Strong expertise in business process management, business systems technology architecture, tool evaluation, roadmap definition & business partnership
  • Track record of integrating with 3rd party applications (i.e Docusign, Xactly, Netsuite)
  • Experience with Agile methodology for Salesforce development work
  • Excited about rolling up sleeves and getting work done in the fast-paced environment of a hyper-growth SaaS startup
