The Salesforce Administrator will work as part of the team dedicated to ensuring that we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the Salesforce system, based on the various user group needs. You are someone who is able to function well in a fast-paced environment and has a strong customer service attitude. You will have excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to administer and enhance the system accordingly as well as how to translate business needs into technical terminology. You will serve as the "go to" for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training, and more. Additionally, the Administrator will perform basic updates, such as add/delete users, and adding basic custom fields.
In this role you will: - Create and manage changes to Salesforce - Proactively work with users and departments to support and enhance use of SF to support operational needs - Ensure that all system updates and changes are communicated across MCG - Develop and deliver necessary training related to new SF functionality and workflow - Work with MCG teams to support third-party integrations - Manage the change control process and “Change Management” Committee - Manage all processes that impact / relate to Salesforce.com - Manage new releases of SFDC and efficiently roll out new features - Create and maintain fields, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns and other salesforce.com objects and functions, including custom objects - Create new reporting capabilities and respond to ad hoc reporting requests as needed - Act as subject matter expert on all Salesforce related discussions - Provide support services for SF users - Maintain configuration, permissions, and security levels - Expand use of Salesforce.com – attend planning meetings, assist with determining if /how salesforce.com can be used in new ways to meet organizational needs that we have not been accessing - Create and maintain reports and dashboards as needed throughout MCG - Required to understand the various automation tools leveraging SF.Com data to support other business operations needs - Work collaboratively with Hearst CRM team or outside developers as required - Continue to develop Salesforce skills, including programming - Consistently support a culture that reflects all virtues of the Ideal Team Player
We'd love to hear from you if: - You have three to five years’ experience with Salesforce administration - You have the required certifications: Certified Salesforce Administrator - You have 1 year of Salesforce development experience (Apex, s-controls) (preferred) - You have experience with Salesforce Community platform, or equivalent, preferred - You possess in-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC, including but not limited to Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Custom Objects, Reports, Dashboards, Page Layouts and Fields, SF Data tools, and Lightning UI - You have demonstrated success on expanding SFDC capabilities through the use of Process Builder, Flow, and/or Apex code, and/or integration with external systems - You are an active user of Salesforce Trailhead with completion of relevant badges preferred - You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal clients - You are a self-starter, capable of and motivated to perform tasks without continuous supervision - You have high attention to detail - You have a history of effective group presentation skills with proven ability to field questions confidently and provide complete and clear responses, reflecting strength of product ownership - You are a strong problem solver - You have previous re-engineering experience updating an existing Salesforce.com configuration to provide solutions for reporting, workflows and enhanced functions
