The Director Revenue Cycle Operations & Technology will work within the telehealth team and will partner with multiple intercompany teams to ensure effective technology and process development to support utilization of health insurance by hims & hers customers. This individual will also lead efforts to ensure effective technology and processes for proper filing, management, and reconciliation of claims payments from health insurance companies. The Director of Revenue Cycle Operations and Technology will be an individual contributor initially, but will likely need to build a team, so leadership and team building experience is a must. The ideal candidate must have healthcare experience, but should also be able to think outside the box and have a strong desire to find solutions that work better than the healthcare system’s status quo.   • Implement a consumer first system that enables a better understanding of benefits and empowers consumers to make smart decisions about their care
  • Lead intercompany teams in designing an eligibility system to ensure benefits are verified and consumer responsibility for payment is understood
  • Lead intercompany teams in designing a system to ensure that accurate billing information is entered into the billing system
  • Discovery of additional needs for an efficient end-to-end revenue cycle management process
  • Supervising the revenue cycle department in various duties, which may include the accuracy of eligibility and patient payment estimates, proper submittal of claims, management of denials, posting of payments, and financial reconciliation
  • Work closely with intercompany teams to ensure they are supported in the areas of customer service, provider management, and payer management
  • Eventually build a team that can scale as necessary to support volume

Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.Understanding of revenue cycle management technology solutions and mechanisms
  • Understanding of Eligibility (270/271) transactions and claims (835/837) transactions
  • Understanding of existing revenue cycle management vendors and clearinghouses
  • Understanding of healthcare billing
  • Sound knowledge of health insurance providers
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and wear many “hats”
