Based in the Flatiron District in NYC, BrainPOP is used in over 40% of US elementary and middle schools and welcomes millions of monthly site visitors.

We are seeking an analytically savvy & strategic Salesforce Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, you will be responsible for spearheading the rollout and ongoing enhancement of our new sales CRM platform which we anticipate will be used by 100+ users accessing the organization

As the Salesforce Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our Sales CRM, Salesforce. BrainPOP is in the process of migrating from Netsuite to Salesforce and is looking for someone with prior Salesforce administration experience, preferably in the education industry, to help ensure the ongoing success and quality of the CRM. Your contribution to the Sales Operations Team will impact BrainPOPpers each day and initiatives will entail collaborating with additional internal teams across the company.

A Day in the Life of our Salesforce Admin

  • Guide and support ongoing sales strategy in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Sales Operations and Sales Leadership, including:
    • Gathering business requirements
    • Identifying and defining new process improvement opportunities
    • Developing new reporting solutions
    • Building business cases Salesforce enhancements
  • Support a successful launch and implementation of Salesforce, including:
    • Ensuring the Salesforce platform is as easy-to-use and intuitive as possible for users of any technical level
    • Working with other technical teams to maintain integrations with other applications and systems (ex. MDR, Looker, Marketo, MixMax, etc)
    • Providing user support and conducting training, including troubleshooting user issues and requests
    • Completing regular system audits to ensure Salesforce system effectiveness and prepare for upgrades
  • Conduct ongoing system maintenance to ensure data quality and cleanliness, including:
    • Serving as the primary Salesforce system administrator, supporting 100+ users
    • Ensuring the quality of CRM data by identifying and correcting data quality issues
    • Updating, maintaining, and deduplicating CRM records
    • Quickly handling bugs, and providing written documentation on what measures were taken to mitigate or solve the issue
    • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, report and dashboard creation and optimization, workflows, and other routine tasks

You Are

  • A creative, rigorous, and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Passionate about CRM efficiency and effectiveness, including the quality of the data in the CRM
  • Excellent in critically evaluating information gathered from multiple key stakeholders, reconciling conflicting information, and distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Excited to learn and seek opportunities to expand your knowledge
  • A self-starter with great instincts and the ability to anticipate upcoming needs
  • Outgoing and personable and take pride in being a positive, helpful presence embedded in the sales team
  • An articulate communicator with strong writing skills
  • A team player with the time management and organizational skills to also work independently

On Your Resume

  • A documented history of successfully driving CRM improvement projects to completion, including knowledge of Salesforce automation best practices, user training, and adoption management. Experience managing CRM integrations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Proven track record of assessing the impact of new requirements on and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, flows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • An ability to interact and coordinate with technical engineering teams in order to communicate requirements, test functionality, and collaboratively build technical solutions
  • 1+ years proven working experience as a data analyst or business systems analyst or similar role
  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator or in a similar role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, education-oriented environment preferred
