Salesforce Developer AIM OF THE POSITION

This individual will contribute to strategic design and best-practice implementation of solutions for a wide range of departments in a company that provides a valuable cancer test for patients. It is very important that this person know how to listen, empathize with users and managers, strategize, and then contribute to the group point-of-view. It is very important that this person have knowledge of Salesforce best practices.


  • Develop, test, and document scalable, high-quality business solutions on the platform
  • Participate in design sessions with technical team and with key stakeholders
  • Present code for code reviews on an ongoing basis
  • Support the team in finding functionality problems deriving from Apex or Visualforce code
  • Considers good database design principles and Salesforce development best practices when designing solutions
  • Makes competent use of Salesforce development tools, such as: Execute Anonymous Window, Query Editor, Unit Tests and Errors, Reports, Workspaces, etc.
  • Knows where to find online Salesforce documentation and developer resources
  • Provide tips and resources for Salesforce Junior Developer and Administrators learning to code
  • Provide code reviews for Salesforce Junior Developer and Administrators learning to code
  • Demonstrate initiative in solving team challenges
  • Interacts with stakeholders independently to gather requirements, provide demonstrations, provide updates, and support bug fixes
  • Write unit tests for his/her own code
  • Perform deployments of his/her own code
  • Provide code review for more junior developers or external developers
  • Analyze and mitigate bugs and issues within instances
  • Initiate recommendations on process, design, operations, and testing
  • Cooperate with project managers to produce high quality work product on time
  • Learn and grow professionally

o  Bachelor’s degree o  Salesforce Developer Certification a plus o  Salesforce Administrator Certification a plus o  2 – 4 years of experience acting as a developer of instances or equivalent coursework or self-training.


  • A solid foundation in Apex coding and development – either through work, coursework, or self-training
  • A solid foundation in relational database design – either through work, coursework, or self-training
  • Proven experience with at least two large projects making use of: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and/or JavaScript
  • Visualforce experience highly desired
  • Lightning development experience highly desired
  • Javascript development experience a plus
  • Integration experience a plus
  • Data migration experience a plus
  • Declarative development experience a plus
  • Professional work habits

  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
